One last thing about the Hold Steady show on Saturday:
Velocity’s online photo gallery of the show - love the one of our own J-Whit (photo #11). And go to the end ’til you see us all on stage. Total magic.
Edited to Add: Live tracks from the Tallahassee show. Ybor City, what! We drink and we dry up and now we crumble into dust.

I would have been in the back of the crowd. The idea of sweaty strangers touching me gives me the creeps.

Unless they’re covered in glitter? And naked.

So I just sleazed by I-Tunes to check this band out. Between perusing the web for good foundation and divesting orphans of their last breadcrumbs, I’ve been busy. Also, I was somewhat ambivalent after attempting to listen to the offerings on MySpace.
I really like it! Thanks for the recommendation…I downloaded most of the album.
You’ve never done me wrong on recs Erin, you know how to pick ‘em out for my hindi music melody spoiled ear (but you are completely wrong about Urge Overkill…Cheap Trick bravado, how can you not like that?)
I am counting on you to keep me current and as hip as possible for a servant of the man. I have a penchant for hipster ph.d students and need a conversation starter.

And here I thought Catfish Haven just made good hush puppies! Looks like a good time.

Catfish Haven totally sucked. Both nights we were all “fuck! we didn’t miss the opening band!”

Erin Elizabeth Keane, no less. EEK! is an old family nickname.
